The Great Milk Bet

Recently, over lunch [info]ahzteck and I made a silly bet. I had mentioned that I didn't think it was possible to drink an entire gallon of milk in under 1 hour and not vomit for another hour. [info]ahzteck scoffed at this as just an urban legend. He went on to say that HE could do it. I said I have $10 that says you can't and the bet was on.
He would attempt to drink one gallon of whole milk (his choice, not mine!) in one hour and then manage to not suffer a "reversal" for another hour. The contest of man vs milk would take place under the watchful eye of [info]spigotkitty, since she is the only person I know who actually watches competitive eating.

Here are the pictures and the time line of the contest.

That's totally awesome. Now i want to give that a try sometime. Maybe whenever i'm back. I think I may be able to give it a good effort too. Hell, I ate a meatloaf and a half at the palomino that night...

Ah the milk challenge. I think I would stand a fair chance at it if it was skim milk. I know I can easily drink 2 litres...what does the translate to in gallons?

There are a little more than 4 litres in a gallon. By Port's research it's been done once with skim. I couldn't find any victories in my 5 minutes of research though, everything I've read said it couldn't be done. He was fine for the first half gallon...

here is the web site from the guy who did it
http://loudermilk.org/milk/

thing is, he lost it after one hour, five minutes.

Yeah, I don't think I could do 4 litres...2 is enough. Hey - Wendy spelled LITRE correctly :) Kip drank about 60 oz all at once - how much is that? He did throw up, but didn't feel great either. Oh the state fair.

you are on. I will bet the same $10 American that you can't drink an entire gallon on milk in under an hour. We may need to do some conversions, but I think it will work out.

There are 64 oz in a gallon. We will also need to do the litre to gallon conversion correctly, but that won't be hard. Just don't do it until I get there!!!

Are we doing Imperial gallons or US gallons? I'd assume that your competition and the one that was linked to were in US gallons (why wouldn't they be?).

Big difference there.
